Powers - Semo Resign
IRONWOOD - Jackie Powers President of the Friends of the Miners Heritage Memorial Park and Rick Semo, Historian have both resigned their positions in the FMHMP, another Ironwood Political Action Committee. Powers sent the following message to her followers; Dear Friends, Rick Semo has resigned his position as Historian, and I have resigned my position as President, effective today. According to our by-laws: Section 6 — Vacancies: When a vacancy on the Leadership Team exists mid-term, the secretary must receive nominations for new members from membership in good standing two weeks in advance of the next general membership meeting. These nominations shall be sent out to membership, to be voted upon at the next meeting. These vacancies will be filled only to the end of the particular Leadership Team member's term. Annette Burchell is the secretary, and should receive nominations for the vacant positions by Tuesday, March 9th. Also according to the by-laws, the vice-president, in the event of the president's resignation or incapacity to serve shall succeed to the office until the next regular election of officers. Tom Bergman is the vice-president. Both Rick and I remain members of the Friends, and committed to its mission. Jackie Powers
