Touting The Carnegie

IRONWOOD - Elaine Erickson appeared before the Township Board of Trustees this week. Several previously scheduled appearances failed to materialized. The Librarian for the Carnegie also brought along Janelle Sandefur Edwards, the Township’s representative on the library board.
Mrs. Erikson advised the board and those in the audience of the many programs the library has in the works. She also mentioned the upcoming Big Read which will take place in March. This year’s novel is “Call of the Wild ."
The only person to ask questions of Mrs. Erikson was Art Lyons. He asked why the Library Board keeps asking for a millage to renovate the Carnegie. He also asked why the library doesn’t move into the Memorial Building and reduce expenses. Mrs. Erickson shrugged him off stating that was “another matter”.

The question we waited for failed to materialize. That would be “why was Mrs Edwards appointed to the Library Board without asking the Township Board for recommendations?”
HMMMMMM!
