Let The Dominos Fall Where They May
Bessemer - July 2, 2009

The annual domino fall took place last night in the parking lot of the Bessemer BP station. It was the eighteenth time that creator Cutso Corullo has put on this favorite Bessemer Bash event. Cutso, pictured above, built all 5000 dominos that fell last night and he also built all of the animated features that provide the entertainment during the fall. There are many features along the domino route create action when tripped by the dominos.  There is a fisherman that pulls in a fish when tripped. However, this year a coke bottle served as a substitute for the fish which was stolen from layout during the setting up of the display. Cutso left the display for a very short period of time and lo and behold some thief took off with the fish. There are several bridges along the fall, some large and some small.

There was a book case loaded with dominos that fell as they climbed the bookcase. At the top a wheel was tripped free and rolled down a chute and struck a domino which caused the continuation of the fall. Along the route another action figure, a gasoline pump was set into motion and pumped gas into two gas cans.

The final was a wooden replica of a trumpet player dress as a Marty's Goldenaire. When tripped the trumpet played raised horn to play and an American Flag was raised up a flag pole. Standing next to the wooden trumpet player was a real Goldenaire who actually did  play the trumpet.
