Local Firefighters Help Jerry's Kids

IRONWOOD - Each Labor Day weekend, local Firefighters hit the streets to "Fill the Boot" and help the Muscular Dystrophy Association in a big way.

Participating in the MDA Boot Drive to help "Jerry's Kids" is a long-standing tradition. Firefighters nationwide are the biggest benefactors to the Drive and are showcased each year on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon.

 

Yesterday members of the Ironwood and Ironwood Township Volunteer Fire Departments and an Ironwood City Employee helped raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association .

The firefighters passed the boot at the intersection of Lake and Ayer. Passing motorist were very generous with their donations and as result the Firefighters raised $1,673 for Jerry's Kids.
