The event was organized by Director of
Student Support Services, Dayle Jackson. Dayle was on location
making sure everything was running smoothly, and it was. She
also was overseeing a bean bag toss that was very popular.
Participants won small prizes regardless of their accuracy. |

These civic minded young ladies were seeking donations for DOVE. |

Once again there were representatives from Wells Fargo on campus
to introduce their companiy's services that GCC students. |
 |
Seeking writers and authors. Students could volunteer for
positions on the GCC Newspaper the Chieftain. |
 |
Due to a malfunction of the Gas Grill, the
cooking was done inside by Master Chefs and Master Chefettes. |
 |
The weather was a typical fall day, when early morning clouds
gave way to sunshine. Students could enjoy their meals outdoors
in the commons area or eat indoors in front of the fireplace. |
 |
The buffet was substantial. It was
substantial enough to satisfy the appetite of any young adult
regardless of their caloric burn rate. The menu was full of
carbs, potato salads, macaroni salads you name it. There were
healthy foods too including the Veggie Burgers that sat
unnoticed sandwiched between the Brats and Real Hamburgers. Of
course there were plenty of student fantasy foods (cookies). |
