| Ironwood Township Firefighter Update |
 Chief
Jamie Peite appeared before the Trustees Monday requesting a set of
gear for the Township’s newest firefighter. He is quite tall and
consequently the gear could not be found locally. Chief Peite had
received two bids and recommended the lower bid of $1378. The Board
unanimously approved the bid as presented.Firefighter Chuck Williams gave a report on the Township Fire Department. Chuck is the Secretary-Treasurer of the Township Volunteers. Chuck advises that there are currently 27 active firefighters in
service; and all. All but two are certified as of this date. Since
June 1st, the Department has answered 4 calls, one of which was a
mutual aid call to the City of Ironwood. |
