Meet & Greet Success was In the Cards! |

WAKEFIELD - The members of the Wakefield Faculty
and members of the school's PTO decided to have an open school night
where family and friends of the school could come and see the many
changes at the K-12 school.
According to Laura Yuchaz (PTO) "Our idea came about because we have heard from people new to the community (or some who just grew up in Ironwood or Bessemer) that they have never really seen the school. We also had several new hires to the school this year and we thought this would be a fun for everyone." above - (L) Pam Bachand, Kindergarten Teacher and (R) Laura Yuchasz. Member of the PTO the organization that made the Meet & Greet event a reality. |

The organizers did a really good job as the school' meet and greet received a lot of visitors. The W-M School District garners a great deal of community support. W-M events covered by IronwoodInfo are usually filled to capacity and it is always a good idea to arrive early! |

Welcoming the visitors Monday evening were two wonderful greeters: Lisa Hewitt and Laura Ahonen. They made sure that your visit got off to a great start. |

Open night was a great opportunity to visitors to see the latest building improvements. The new bleachers installed in August. An improvement welcomed by faculty, students and parents alike.
