Hurley Council Passes 2011 Budget |

HURLEY - The Hurley City Council held a budget hearing last night
for the purpose of hearing public comment on the proposed 2011
budget and tax levy. There was no public comment and the item was
moved on to the regular meeting that followed. The 2011 Budget estimates the year end revenues for the budget period to be $2,185,739 . The 2010 Budgeted revenues were 2,083,789. An increase of 4.89% The 2011 general property tax revenues are budgeted to $784,043 an increase over the 2010 Budget amount of $769,753, an increase of $14,290 or 1.86% Budgeted Expenditures for 2011 are $2,185,739 an increase of $101,950 (4.89%) over the 2010 budget amount, $2,083,789. Expenditures increased for Public Safety by $10,364, however the expenditures for General Government decreased by $14,590 and the Public Works budget decreased by $18,400. The largest single change occurs in Capital Outlays expenditure. In 2010 the budgeted amount was $53,375 and the budget amount for 2011 is $157,500. an increase of $104,125.
