Hoops Undefeated in 2010-11
Both Michigan Tech basketball teams opened their seasons last week, and they combined to go 5-0. The men defeated Bemidji State last Tuesday (Nov. 16) behind 29 points from freshman Austin Armga. They also won twice at the Hillyard Classic, hosted by Missouri Western State. The ladies won both of their games handily with an 83-36 score vs. Finlandia last Friday (Nov. 19) and a 67-46 decision vs. Minnesota-Duluth last Saturday (Nov. 20). Both teams will play multiple games again this week.

Cross Country Season Concludes
The cross country teams closed the 2010 season at the NCAA Regionals last Saturday (Nov. 20). Senior Brian Stetter, who was the only member of the men's team competing, finished 25th in a time of 32:13 over the 10-kilometer course. The Tech women's team had all seven of its runners finish the six-kilometer course in under 24 minutes. Freshman Deedra Irwin paced the women's team with a 51st place finish in a time of 23:04. The Huskies were 11th of the 22 teams at the race.
