Milbrath Earns Spot on Elite AFCA All-America Team |

by Wes Frahm, director of athletic communications and marketing Running back Phil Milbrath (Norway) earned a spot on the 2010 AFCA Division II Coaches' All-America Team, it was announced by the American Football Coaches Association. Milbrath is just the second player in school history to earn AFCA All-America honors. Current Miami Dolphin Joe Berger was the other. The AFCA All-America accolade is the latest in a long line of awards collected by Milbrath this season. The senior has also been named a national finalist for the Harlon Hill Award, the GLIAC Offensive Back of the Year and Daktronics All-Super Region 3 First Team. Milbrath finished second in the nation in rushing (141.2 yards per game), fifth in all-purpose offense (178.7 yards per game) and ninth in scoring (9.6 points per game). He had eight 100-yard games and two 200-yard games, with his career-best performance of 293 yards and two touchdowns coming vs. No. 1-ranked Grand Valley State. The 5-9, 200-pound Milbrath racked up 1,412 rushing yards, 375 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns during his senior campaign. The AFCA has selected an All-America team since 1945. It is the only All-America team picked by the coaches.
