A Joyous Noel

WATERSMEET -This year’s Christmas program at Watersmeet proves once again that good things come in small packages.

Kim Johnson the Watersmeet Music Director, the school staff and students produced a great big old fashion Christmas celebration. The program titled “A Joyous Noel” included singing, instrumental performances and a Christmas skit.

The evening began with the Kindergarten singing "Jingle Bells". The youngsters were followed by the Sixth Grade Band that played "Jingle Bells", "Up on the Housetop", "Jolly Old Saint Nicholus", and "Good King Wenceslas".

 

The very talented members of the Sixth Grade Band include:

Alto Saxophone: Mathilda Caron, Breylin Hebert

Percussion: Josh McGeshick, Rondell McKinney, Ronald Peterson
Bass Clarinet: Owen Ryskey

Clarinet: Keaton Caudill, Krysta Charbarneau, Tyra McGeshick

 

There was a  Vocal Duo combining the talents of Karley Yablonski and Maiah Zelinski. The talented duo sang "Christmas Lights", "A Candle in the Window", "Solitary Snowflake" and "The Christmas Song"

Following her vocal duo Karley Yablonski performed a clarinet solo "Gesu Bambino".

 

A performance by the High School Band included: "Baby It's Cold Outside" (featuring a small ensemble), "A Christmas Couplet", "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" (Austin McGeshick as Grandma, Andy Kopsi and Luther Hebert as reindeer). The Nimrods have a large percentage of the student population participating in their High School Band.

A wonderful program finale was provided by the Christmas Choir and skit performances presented by the elementary department, and featuring the fifth grade Directed by Mrs. Zelinski and Mrs. Johnson.
