Curling Comes to Gogebic
IRONWOOD - January 31, 2011

There was a large group of Gogebic residents that came to the Pat O¹Donnell civic center on Sunday afternoon.

Following the second Polar Bear game the ice was the scene of a free Curling Clinic.
The announcement stated that the clinic would be opened to people of all ages, and people of all age groups and from all over the county participated in the two hour event.

The clinic was be led by Gordon MacLean, pictured above, longtime president of the Copper Country Curling Club.

The group took turns practicing throwing the stone. It is definitely not easy, but not too punishing on the body either. Well maybe. It appeared that someone could have a good time at this sport with a reasonable amount of practice and effort.
