On Tuesday, May 24...Ms. Terry Davis along with students
...Mikki Morello, Katie Galarno and parent, Mrs. Pam
Morello attended the Closing /Awards Ceremony of the
Youth Art Month Exhibit at the State Capitol In Madison,
Wisconsin.
Over 300 pieces of student art work were selected to
be in this annual Show. Included in this impressive show
held in the Rotunda of the Capitol Building was the work
of three Hurley students ..Katie Galarno, Mikki
Morello,and Ellie Niemi ( who was unable to attend the
ceremony )
Youth Art Month emphasizes the value of Art and Art
Education for all children and encourages public support
for quality Art Programs. Art education develops
self-esteem, appreciation of the work of others,
self-expression, cooperation and critical thinking
skills.
