| HURLEY - June 21, 2011 Dani Mattson and Johnna
DeRosso of Hurley, Wi and Boots & Spurs 4-H Members were
able to attend the Minnesota Quarter Horse Association
Boot Camp in Verndale, MN at the R & J Arena on June 15
& 16.
The 4-H and the MQHA joined forces to provide
clinicians to educate the 4-H members in Trail,
Horsemanship, Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Western
Pleasure, Equitation and Games.
The young ladies spent three days in Verndale and
participated in classes starting at 8:00 A.M. to 5:00
P.M.
They listened to Jay Thesing, president of the MQHA,
watched a fashion show, and learned the "in's and out's"
of showing at an American Quarter Horse Association
show. Dani and Johnna train at Willow Creek Farm,
Hurley, WI with trainer Lisa O' Leary.
