IRONWOOD – July 14, 2011
Today is the official opening of Festival Ironwood,
however there were events taking place last night.
The UpNorth Connection performed under the big tent
last night. There was a large audience that gathered to
hear the area’s great bluegrass trio.
Members of the Rotary Club were on hand busily serving
up brats, beer and other goodies.
Twenty two poker players gathered at the depot to
participate in the Poker Tournament sponsored by the
Gogebic Range Trail Authority.
Although the World’s Largest Duck Pick doesn’t open
until today, there were a lot of children at the
festival last night. They all ran and lined up at the
Fun Castle Moonwalk Jumper.
The fun continues today at Festival Ironwood.
